Another Million Dollar Sale – More great news for our industry!
It’s a hard time for many domaineers : few sales in spite of a very nice selection.
Anyway I do agree not to lower the reserve prices, like any industry today, we must be patient !
Great job Rick. While webcam dot com was a great sale in the adult marketplace I find that domain has multiple options, even say outside the adult world. Great domain and great individual sale.
Excellent sale on Webcam.com . Rick what about the other domains that you sold, that you were putting up an extra $300 for? Do you not include those in the total numbers?
My $300 per name is not included in the total numbers if that is what you meant.
Not surprised at all that a million dollar domain name was sold. I knew something big would come out of the auction.
My surprise comes with XXX.com. I know the reserve was high but figured someone would jump at the chance.
Patrick, we have some very large offers coming in on xxx.com and are working hard to get it done but are no where near finished and it is still a longshot. That said, your right that it is a truly terrific name and if there is someone that is ready to jump we’ll be here to catch them.
I’d be very cautious buying a high priced adult domain. All the tube sites are really raising the “free” bar to new levels which is resulting in less conversions.
