New Product Announcement - ResearchLabs.com

Here's an opportunity for designers and webmasters to make some money developing premium domain names.

This is a soft and very humble launch. We are trying to get this out the door on a shoestring budget.

Over the years I've lost a small fortune trying to mass develop domains as mini-sites and then lost another small fortune putting major sites on domains, only to ignore the sites later on.

Therein lies the problem. It's difficult, to say the least, to get a lot of sites developed; primarily because you lose focus and attention.

Research Labs takes a very simple approach. If a web designer or seo expert wants to take a stab at developing a premium name, we give them the opportunity.

We need them to focus on the site and they want to work on something worthwhile.

We provide the web server and help with back links across our extensive network. They do the design and maintenance of the site.

In addition to resources, the webmaster will get a very small and humble guaranteed amount to hold them over a bit while we work together to get the site profitable. Then, we share in the profits with them.

Future versions of the site will pair webmasters with other domain owners but for now, we are doing this only with our in-house domains to continue testing the theory.

We've launched with just three projects.

As I've stated, this is a modest beginning to something we hope will become much bigger. The vision is that one day there will be a large network of developers, collaborating together, profiting together.

For those interested in taking part, there's a form that can be filled out right on the home page of ResearchLabs.com.

I think this could be a great idea, too many premium domains are parked making a fraction of their potential money

  • Alan Dunn

This is probably the best idea I've seen in a while Rick.

  • Gypsum Fantastic

Very interesting idea. I will definitely keep an eye on how you get on with it, as I have many domains well suited to this sort of thing e.g. similar to your Rhodes.com I have IbizaHistory.com, which of course would be perfect for a site about the history of Ibiza (Europe's best known sun and fun holiday destination).

nice idea, how many inlinks will your network provide for these new projects ?

  • Anonymous

@ 5k camera, that depends on the site. There's also a lot of secret sauce involved with SEO matters and I'd rather not discuss it in a public forum.

definitely worth a shot. This is a great idea Rick!

    Hi,
Last many days I am searching some good article and I am very glad to find your article. This is very essential and informative information for me. I would like to say your post is superb and relevant my topics.

    Hi Rick,
I see your looking around the corner (that's a good thing). I have a question for you as I am not sure what to do. 2 Years ago I started registering names with IQ at the end of the name, such as
Switzerland IQ, Russia IQ, Brazil IQ all.com, so I own all of South America, all of Europe, Iceland IQ
etc so I own most of the world building a brand finding out I have created a monster, way to big for one person to handle.
Got the idea from Capital IQ.com I stopped at the 10th page they have all places on Google for 10 pages plus.
I am thinking of building one good site like Canada IQ.com and maybe leasing most of the other countries. Content would be about travel, restaurants, things to see etc. I understand most of these sites do not get much traffic and that is because of very little content. I have them at whypark.com right now.

    Regards,
    Richard St Cyr

PS I would appreciate any suggestions (sold a few names on your newsletter)

Hope I will also get a chance to prove myself. Rick I need an opportunity.
