T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Miami Initial Auction Inventory - Submissions still open

I can't remember the last time we, or any auction company, were able to release this much inventory nearly a month before the show. We are working hard on putting together a list that will have a high sell-through rate.

With the high-attendance rate that T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Miami is expected to have and the list that is starting to come together, I think it's safe to say there's no better auction in the 4th quarter of 2010 to showcase your names.

Of particular note we are getting a lot of premium .co names priced to sell. .CO, many of you know, is based in Miami. The hype will be strong at T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Miami for this particular extension to get yours over to us if you want to move them.

I've pasted the names which are locked in so far below, in alphabetical order.

Submissions are still open so get your names over to us if you want to be included.

You do this copy and paste stuff a lot .. How do you expect anyone to read this? Would you ...

Please put some effort in to actually formatting text otherwsie you are asking readers to squint through a list of garbled names and numbers.

I lost interest about 0.5 seconds after looking at this list and I'm sure they are some pretty good names.

  • Rick Latona

Alan, when you are right you are right. I fixed it.

  • http://www.newfoundnames.com Alan

cool - thanks. you can delete the comment if you like.

  • Rick Latona

No, I deserve it. We'll leave it there.

  • Mikey

Classy. very few admit wrongdoing and then to further publicly acknowledge shows class.

    Kudos Rick

  • http://robsequin.com Rob Sequin

Looks like a good mix of quality domains and/or reasonable prices.

    See you there!

  • http://PassThisOn.com Anunt

Come on guys...Rick Latona and Rick Schwartz...this list of domain names suck big time...they are "pigeon shit" domains...left over trash...like flowers.mobi and all those .co and .cm domains that nobody wants...pure trash!
Both Rick's own tons of prime time top dot com domain names that actually make money and have that natural type-in traffic...you guys need to put some of these domains for sale with no reserve to get this auction pumped up and exciting. I'm not asking you guys to sell all your top domains...just put about 10 domains each for sale with no reserve...you guys own thousands of domains...selling 10 of them wont kill you...it will also be a great way to market this traffic auction. With the recent big moves upwards in the stock market, alot of people, including myself, have lots of cash to invest...but not in bullshit domains!

  • http://timkissane.com Tim Kissane

    Hey, Rick

I had hoped to make it to Miami, but it doesn't look like that will happen. I wanted to submit names for the auction, but your submission page doesn't like me (Chrome on Linux). Can I email the information?

    Thanks!

  • http://www.commonwealthgamessports.com Manvij

Good to see .co domains coming in for auctions. Thanks for this list of locked submissions

  • Rick Latona

Yes send them to submissions AT latonas.com

  • http://klx.co chris

Interesting list, Looks like there hope for some of my .co's and will be tracking the results closely (some blog)

I can see creditcard.co going for more (throw in a PAM 160 GMT and maybe you have a winner :P )
Im waiting to see some more from the .co's as after the top ones go im hoping the market doesnt drop.

I think some of the .cm's could turn into darkhorses given the exact name. With good marketing and nice SEO it could kill the .com on google (if its parked without marketing)

    @Anunt,
do you go around being angry on other peoples blogs as a prof troll? maaaan learn to be more 'laidback'

  • skyline

It's accept .info .ME or .TV domain?
    It's full list here?

  • Peter Furzer

As suggested, I submitted some very good .co domain names and got a 100% rejection. Based on some already listed, my small selection was, in my opinion, capable of adding value to the upcoming auction. Does every name have to be totally American? e.g. denver.co. (Apparently recently sold for 22.000).

  • http://bloodbook.com D. Skinner

Considering the probable change in Cuban trade statue with the US, I expected to see more Cuba-related Domain names in the Miami auction.

  • Rick Latona

Peter, we have limited space, as always. While there are no hard and fast rules, we think an auction in Miami deserves priority to American and Spanish language domains.

  • http://klx.co chris

yeah getting successful entry is near on impossible.
    i tried oilexploration.co & containment.co and both got rejected.
even tried solvent.co and got rejected again.

the average guy will never get a chance so ive given up :)

  • Frank

Not a bad list. Though would like to see some insurance and loan domain names. Those are the hottest categories right now.

Would'nt mind seeing some attorney names also. I hope the list does not end up being 1000 names long. I think two words should be the max and stick to the .com and throw some .mobi in their because rick has flowers.mobi in there also.

    >mobi is still hot in south africa... blistering hot.

Overall .co will suprise many. And I think flowers.mobi will be from an outside buyer probably in south africa. Around 50k- .mobi is still worth cash in other countries.

Rick says "american language" - What the hell is that?
If denver.co sells for $50001 what is geneva.co worth?
For the record and thanks to those who read my post, here a just a few of my submitted but rejected .co in "american language".

    madeinusa.co
    trailerparks.co
    madisonavenue.co
    sneekers.co
    californiawines.co

    Cheers everybody.

  • http://www.newfoundnames.com Alan

Peter .. Rick didn't say American language

He said American or Spanish language names.

American has in geo destinations not as in people should speak "American"

  • http://www.advocaat.co arnold

As always , i am someone who thinks he has good domains to sell, also german and french words are very wanted

    drogerie.co (drugstore)
    lasvegasrental.co
    homewear.co
    flowerexport.co
    vakantiehuis.co (vacationhouse)
    advocaat.co (lawyer) dutch
    logistiek.co (logistics) dutch
    logistique.co (logistics ) french

  • Nour

Hello Peter! So you expected 'em to accept sneekers.co? I honestly don't see anything special about this domain name, as a matter of fact it doesn't even have a meaning! Maybe you meant "sneakers.co"? The other domains don't have so much searches, plus they are 2-3 words that don't have much value, therefore not a lot of value in them IMO. No offense! :)

  • http://bloodbook.com D. Skinner

When I asked about Cuba-related Domains, I was talking about a .com name relating to Cuba, e.g. CubaLottery.com or CubanCasino.com and the like. How is this changing political situation with Cuba going to effect the Domain name market? Thanks

  • http://domainsushi.com Nadia

I've been corresponding with Toby, and there were several names deemed worthy of inclusion (Divorcio & Oleo, Spanish for "divorce" and "oil/oils," respectively, as well as English terms relating to 'auto refinancing,' 'free checking,' 'emissions,' etc.), but there was no guarantee that they'd have time for them in the live auction. I was told they'd be thrown in "if there is time."

I'm wondering if it's first-come, first-served, because if we are to believe some of the posts from people on various message boards who claim their names have been accepted, there is a wide range in the quality of these domains.

I'm also unclear as to how the reserve pricing affects the BIN price in the extended online auction. I'm hesitant to submit the names if there's no guarantee they'll get any exposure before or during the auction itself, while committing to a 60-day contract afterwards.

Any feedback you can offer is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Rick

I've submitted few .co but was rejected.

    My domain list:

    1. Hitz.co
    2. Saves.co
    3. Nagasaki.co
    4. Abalone.co
    5. Fragile.co

These are few names rejected ??

  • http://www.areyou.co zamaan

i submitted 9. 2 LLL.co got accepted. any way, glad i got a chance atlest. good luck to you guys.

  • http://ForclosedHomes.com Jim Holleran

I had some names accepted and contracted sign and submitted to you guys. How soon will this list be updated?

  • http://ForclosedHomes.com Jim Holleran

    I read the following today:

    http://www.ricksblog.com/my_weblog

Does he have veto power to reject our names once they been approved and are under contract with you guys for the Miami Auction?

  • http://www.ricklatona.com Rick Latona

    That post is about 2011.

  • http://ForclosedHomes.com Jim Holleran

Rick, OK thanks!!! I know you guys are busy but the sooner you guys can update the list of names in auction the better. Keep up the great work!

  • AR

    Rick,
When is the list of inventory going to be updated?

  • http://ForclosedHomes.com Jim Holleran

Rick, I got 2 offers on names in the last 2 days and I need to direct them to the auction list since I am have them listed with you guys. Therefore, the sooner the better! Thanks, Jim

  • Nadia

The reason the list isn't being updated is probably because most of those accepted names will never make it into the live auction. There's no benefit to publicizing what will essentially become a laundry list of names in the online extended auction.

  • http://timkissane.com Tim Kissane

Nadia is right on target. So, if you've been fortunate enough to have names accepted, you'd better start publicizing them yourself.

  • http://www.cubadomainsforsale.com D. Skinner

Rick..... Thanks foor staying with updating this blog as well as you do. Can you tell me when the upcoming TRAFFIC Auction closes to acceptance of names? Second, do you perceive any special activity on Cuba-related Domain names? Thanks

  • http://freecredit.at E.Druege

    No eu,at,co.uk or ch Domains?
    Gifted.at
    Improvement.ch
    Lullaby.eu
    Segways.at
    Ottawa.at
    OnlineMeeting.eu
    Days.me
    Rincon.co.uk

    all great....

Not every .com domain is great, just because it has a .com behind it see some domains in the auction.

    Think about it....

  • http://klx.co chris

Tend to agree with 'E.Druege' regarding good domain names and those ccTLD's are nice.

i think with the auction they pick what is not too common and what isnt flooded already (lawyers, cities etc).
What you think would be accepted maybe not and im sure these guys see all sorts of quality with TLD, ccTLD, gTLD's floating around and have a hard time making a decision or have a set of suitable domain genres for the particular auction.

none the less the final list will be nice to see once it compiled seeing the criteria is quite tough

  • http://3dDatabase.com Zorlock

in regards to ‘E.Druege’,is Segway a trademark? If so, that is probably why that one was rejected.
I think it comes down to limited space. Right now, if you go to other forums you will see many people have submitted their names.
It seems that a lot of .COs have made it in and rightly so.
.CO is a sponsor at this TRAFFIC event. From what I understand is that there is limited space and many of the domains wont make it to the main part of the auction.
Anyways Rick, you are doing a good job here. I would like to see an updated list of what is actually making it to the main auction and what is limited to the after auction market.

    Cheers and all the best.

    It's submission close?

I see final miami live inventory list recent post below:
    http://www.ricklatona.com/2010/10/12/final-miami-live-inventory-list-open-for-pre-bidding/

  • Rick Latona

If it is a good name and priced to sell we can fit it in, other than that, submissions are closed.

  • Nour

I submitted Shores.co on September 27th and was accepted, later on i received an agreement, i signed it, and sent it back! I was surprised to not see my quality domain included in the final list!
    http://www.ricklatona.com/2010/10/12/final-miami-live-inventory-list-open-for-pre-bidding/
If my name is not included, i wont pay no commission when i sell it myself!! That's fair enough! I still can't believe that some mediocre names were included, but mine wasnt!

  • Rick Latona

Nour, there is a difference between the live inventory and the extended auction. Your name didn't make the cut for the live auction but will be in the extended.

  • http://www.México.co Wotsup?

Where is the list for extended auction?

  • Nour

That's a lot of bullshits! The live auction was dead, let alone the extended one!
