Information about the upcoming Latona’s auction of Zuccarini names

Over the past weeks there has been rampant speculation about the impending auction of a portfolio of names known as the Zuccarini names.

Two particular blog and news sites have written repeatedly about the case without coming to me for comment.

So, let’s get one fact out there.

Judge Illston of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, has issued a court order allowing us to do the auction.

Currently the auction is scheduled to take place in early November but there are a couple more motions being filed and we can’t give the exact details until we have them.

The new motions are designed to protect both myself and the buyers of the names.

By now, we all know about the threats that have been made. Threats which are completely out of line when a federal judge grants the right to sell the names.

Mr Zuccarini’s threats, in my humble opinion, are doing nothing but hurting himself. After all, the proceeds go to paying off his liens and if the auction is a big success, he’ll be better off for it. Again, that’s just my opinion.

In the coming weeks more information will come out and I’ll do my best to keep everyone informed. In the meantime, here’s the list of names all this hoopla is about.

    No one ever doubted you had the court's permission to sell the domains.

    However I stand by comments of today.

    Rightly or wrongly buyer's should expect to be named in a suit by Zuccarini nothing wrong with that as long as they know what's coming

    Michael, the lawyers involved are attempting to get a motion that would protect the buyers. A lot of people have been working behind the scenes for some time now on this.

    We'll know more in a couple of weeks and it's premature to state that.

    I give you a lot of credit for hanging in there. Some people would have caved in. I wish you the best and I'm sure the auction will be worthwhile for you, maybe in more ways that you can even foresee.

    Thanks for hanging in there, Rick. Unfortunately, John has shown time and time again that he has no respect for the law or Judges' Orders, so the fact that you are attempting to hold his feet to the fire is courageous

    Given your established reputation in the industry, it's not clear to me why you would want to be involved with what I consider a sub-standard portfolio with so many domans that are clearly trademark infringements. I would be more concerned about that then the previous owners sour grapes about being made to pay his bills (not clear on the details, but that's what it sounds like).

    They say there is no bad publicity, but I'm not sure this deal is worth it. :-)

    didn't google instant blacken the eye of typo domains.

    this list does't seem to have any typo names that kids would visit ? i thoughts that's what Z was famous for ?
