Latona's Domain Auctions to switch to a once a week format

We are going to switch the Latona's auctions to a weekly format. This is being done for a variety of reasons.

The biggest is that its too difficult to ensure quality in the listings trying to run them daily. I don't think anyone wants to be bombarded with emails full of crummy domains.

We'll be able to focus our marketing budget. Just as one example, I'd like to advertise on Domaining.com more often but don't because there are too many auctions. Now we can focus the dollars on larger lists which makes more sense.

Another reason is it enables my marketing team in Manila to focus on one list for a full week and hopefully attract more end users. It's too difficult when the inventory changes daily.

Lastly, it's because the results have been dissapointing lately and I keep thinking about how you define insanity.

definition insanity: Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

So we've decided on Wednesdays as the best day to do these because its the day of the week least likely to have a conflicting holiday.

Stay tuned to more updates...

Right-on Rick! Im a big fan of your newsletter and look forward to seeing it evolve! You have definitely set the model in this space and I appreciate your open and honest approach - when you find something that isn't working you announce it in public, make the change, and move on.

So many people spend time pretending there is nothing wrong with their business and thus do nothing to fix it! If there's one thing I've learned in the last three years its that you learn a lot more from your mistakes than your successes.

"... it enables my marketing team in Manila to focus on one list for a full week and hopefully attract more end users"

This seems a better strategy. Fousing on the list for a full week will allow the team to conduct a more thorough outreach effort, cover more bases. Good luck.
