Dublin.co.uk to be auctioned off in Dublin at T.R.A.F.F.I.C. on August 25th

On the 25th of August in Dublin Ireland Latona's will be auctioning off Dublin.co.uk.

There certainly have been plenty of British in Dublin each time I've visited the city. I believe a flight from London to Dublin is only 45 minutes or so.

This is a targeted domain. For those of you that deal in travel domains, this could be a good buy.

The name is also priced right. If we can tell you more about or if you'd like to talk about financing options, please contact us.

This doesn't make sense to me, a Dubliner. How about NewYork.co.uk? Or Paris.co.uk? Lots of British in both those places, too. Worse, it's not PC. Dublin may be nearer in geography, but in historical terms the idea of this domain is anathema.

I agree with Allie, though Ireland and UK may be close geographically, they are different culturally and historically. Not a good domain IMO.

I can see how it *could* be used, but what kind of price is it going for?
