Zenith Defy Classic with Power Reserve Indicator Ref 03.0516.685/01.MS16

Tough, strong, sturdy and mean are all words I'd use to describe this Zenith Defy Classic with a power reserve indicator Ref. 03.0516.685/01.MS16 watch. I especially like the bracelet. It has a an indestructible feel to it.

In the pre-owned market of luxury watches, Zenith can be a good buy. They drop a lot in value after they are worn which is bad for the guy that bought it new but great for you if you are fine buying a used watch. After all, all watches are used once worn once. If you are looking in the $3000 - $5000 price range, it would be tough to find something better made than this watch.

If you like doing rough and tough things and are looking for a solid steel watch which can go 300 meters under water, this one could be for you.

For those readers that aren't familiar with the Zenith brand, it's worth pointing out that this is a 150 year-old Swiss watch company that has nothing in common with the electronics company other than a similar name. It's pronounced Zen-ith, as in the Buddhist Zen.

Zenith makes many very complicated watches and it isn't uncommon for their pieces to cost more than $100,000.

It's a stealth-wealth look. Those that know their watches will appreciate it and those that don't won't want to take it from you. ;)

The Zenith Defy Classic in these photos comes complete with original paperwork and box.
