NorthernIreland.com and Ulster.com to be auctioned off at T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Dublin

I'm going to be particularly interested in seeing what happens when NorthernIreland.com and Ulster.com come up on the block in Dublin at T.R.A.F.F.I.C. on August 25th.

Ulster is a nine county territory in the northern portion of the island with Northern Ireland consisting of six of those Ulster counties.

Northern Ireland, as most of you know, is part of the United Kingdom while Ireland is its own country and part of the European Union.

I'm not going to comment too much on what either term means to the Irish or even to the British because it isn't my place.

I'll just say that the fine Irish people I've met in and around the island are proud of their heritage and both names could be of series interest to them.

If you are interested in bidding on either name or would like to inquire about financing, please contact RJ @ Latonas.com.

Both great names, I will be extremely interested to discover the results of these two great domains (NorthernIreland.com and Ulster.com that is)

There is a distinction between them that many people misinterpret.

Northern Ireland is indeed part of the UK (foreseeably) but Ulster is a historic name for one of the four provinces of Ireland namely ~

    Ulster
    Leinster
    Connaught
    Munster

Ulster is composed of nine counties: Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Derry, and Tyrone (which comprise Northern Ireland), while Cavan, Donegal, and Monaghan are part of the Republic of Ireland. So Ulster is in essence all 6 counties of Northern Ireland and 3 counties from the Irish Republic.

There is of course also Ulster county in the USA.
