SaaS.com to be auctioned in Dublin at T.R.A.F.F.I.C.’s second European show 2010

July 27th, 2010 by Rick Latona

SaaS – or software as a service – is the biggest technology buzzword today; and Latona’s Domain Brokerage and Auction House will be bringing SaaS.com to T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Dublin for auction.

If you aren’t familiar with the term, Google it. The advertiser list is a who’s who of the Internet business. Companies like Google themselves, SAP, NetSuite, Salesforce.com, Rackspace and Symplified all have paid spots.

This domain encompasses the future of how both individuals and businesses will use software.

Don’t take my word for it – listen to some industry experts and what they have to say about SaaS:

Worldwide software-as-a-service (SaaS) revenues in the enterprise application software market will surpass $8.5bn this year, according to new figures from Gartner.

The forecast means that the SaaS market has grown by 14.1 per cent compared to 2009 revenues, which the analyst firm said totaled $7.5bn.

The latest figures also indicate that SaaS will take a bigger share of the enterprise software market over time. Gartner predicts a shift in total revenue from just over 10 per cent of the combined markets in 2009, to more than 16 per cent in 2014. – Source V3.co.uk

As it sits right now, SaaS.com is number two on Google (organically) for the term SaaS behind only Wikipedia.

The SaaS industry is growing rapidly – and is the future – This is your opportunity to own a pure category killer domain for a massive industry that is seeing unprecedented growth.

  1. Rick,

What is the reserve on this name?

  2. Rick Latona says:

Andrew, sorry but we can’t disclose that. It’s reasonable.

  3. Paul says:

Hey Rick – Sorry if I am missing something, but is this a domain only auction, or a business auction including the name?

    TIA.

  4. Rick Latona says:

Paul, it is for the domain only.

  5. Willy says:

I love this name. It’s like the buzzword “ebusiness” back in the 90′s.

  6. My offer for saas.com and its website is USD 10,000.
