Someone asked me recently what my favorite website was. It’s an interesting question really because I rarely have time to use the web as entertainment.
To me the question implies that industry related sites don’t count. I’m also discounting the must visit sites like Google, Facebook and your favorite news site.
So my question to you is, what sites do you visit regularly that are off the beaten path?
Personally, I love the site lifehacker.com. I regularly use the tips and tricks that I learn from that site.
My two favorite blogs are Seth Godin’s and Fred Wilson’s.
Honestly, I could use some recommendations. After 15 years of starring into the net, I’ve really not done much actual surfing, crazy as that sounds.

Thanks Rick
One of my favorite yet entertaining websites Rick. Always have helpful information on your next purchased items as well, later bro!
I like http://www.newsbiscuit.com – updated daily, though the humour might be too British for you. When brain is completely switched off, http://www.exoticspotter.com and http://www.wreckedexotics.com
I recommend winelibrarytv.com – whether you like wine or not you will love this video blog
Very good entertainment, very energetic and a lot of fun
I’ve become a big fan of Mixergy.com … where Andrew Warner interviews entrepreneurs and startups..
I visit inc.com regularly for tips on startup etc..
Fred Wilson is certainly one of the brightest men we’ll ever meet. He’s the Warren Buffet of our time. Whatever he invests in has turned to gold. I was lucky enough to be an investor in a few of the same companies/sites. If you’re into exercise running and biking try slowtwitch.com great user base of people that like to move.
I use valuate.com a lot to get some basics on domain names. I also use Google Reader on daily bases, it’s simple and I have categorized the sources, so I don’t have to visit individual websites for blogs/news
and it’s hard to beleive, but I also use my own website a lot to check on dropping domain names.
Have you heard of DomainWhiz.net? It’s fun if you think you’ve exhausted combinations of words or intuitive words for domains.
