First half of Targeted T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Amsterdam auction inventory released

While we are proud of the list below, we need more submissions. As you can see we are heavy on certain extensions so don’t hold back if you have something premium that isn’t represented below. Of course, we’ll take any names that are great and priced right.

    About Reclames.nl,

The word “Advertisements” translated to Dutch would be: Advertenties
The word “Commercials” translated to Dutch would be: Reclames

I haven’t seen any .es domain and only one .de. I expected more of them. Any reason?

  3. DonSubasta on May 26th, 2009 5:54 pm

indeed the co.nz is a suprise indeed,

am missing amsterdam.com on this list:-)

very nice domains so far , lets see a lot of .es in the next half:-)

  4. Rick Latona on May 26th, 2009 6:04 pm

Alfredo, it’s because we aren’t getting good submissions. The .es names we are getting are all English words or crazy high reserves.

  5. Rick Latona on May 26th, 2009 6:04 pm

DonSubasta, I was referring to the .cm names. :)

  6. Rick Latona on May 26th, 2009 6:17 pm

    Ed, thanks we’ve fixed it.

  7. Marko Marin on May 26th, 2009 7:05 pm

I can not see any three letter .eu domains. Hope there will be a few good in the auction, too.

  8. Patrick McDermott on May 26th, 2009 8:18 pm

    Hi,

    Where can domains be submitted?

I believe the original submission page is no longer working.

  9. davidclements on May 26th, 2009 9:41 pm

    Hi Patrick,

I can safely tell you that the submissions form is working….overtime. :)

It is under the Auctions tab above or can be navigated to directly by going to http://www.ricklatona.com/auctions/submission-form.

Hi Rick, I submitted these for the ccTLD auction, but they were all rejected, do you see anything in this list that might deserve reconsideration. (the reserve is flexible for all of them)

    Amerika.us
    Ebid.us
    Oath.us
    Rifle.us
    Blogster.us
    Hairdo.us
    Mutuals.us
    Posture.us
    Intercept.us
    DietFoods.us
    Entitled.us
    FlexFuel.us
    LadyLiberty.us
    MoneyWatch.us
    Pathogens.us

Maybe these shows can be successful without an auction. Networking and good panelists should be enough of a draw, not to mention a backdrop like Amsterdam.

This is Europe why .cm or .mx or .us or .co.nz or.ca what is .ph ?
Cannot even see a European foreign language domain. Your choice of generics is just awful.

  17. Drew S. on May 27th, 2009 6:25 pm

When will the entire list be posted?

  18. Rick Latona on May 28th, 2009 4:08 am

    Jonathan,

We are at the mercy of our submissions. We do have many more .es and other European names to add. We want more quality .nl and .de names but we just aren’t getting them.

  19. DomainBroker on May 28th, 2009 4:35 am

I can not see any .PL names at the list. Don’t you like this ccTLD?
.PL is 6th European domain extension, with ~1,3 mln of registered names, and pretty interesting aftermarket growth level.

These were .co.uk - .com - .it English / French / Italian language registrations
    Davids reply
We appreciate your submissions and we are happy that you are considering us to help you sell your domain name asset(s). However, due to the large number of submissions and the limited number of slots, we are not going to be able to list the domain name(s) that you have submitted to us.
If the reserves were to high then perfectly acceptable reasons on both sides.
The large number of submissions ? “video gratuit” ” videos gratuit” = free video
“contract law” +++ not bad quality

  21. D on May 28th, 2009 8:57 am

The list is good and will certainly get better when finalized but I would really suggest you get back to doing auctions the proper way:

    - don’t publish the reserves, but rather a price range or ideally an appraised value / guideline

    - start the bids reasonably below the reserve price; this allows all interested parties to bid and creates the momentum needed for bids to rise

This is how auctions are run throughout the auction industry from well known establishments like Christie’s all the way to virtual marketplaces like eBay. The fact we are dealing with domains doesn’t mean we should change the way an auction is to be performed.

  22. Aligned on May 28th, 2009 12:23 pm

For some of those that might not be familiar with some of the cctlds, are you going to provide guidelines on how the transfer procedure works, forms that need to be submitted, If a company needs to be set up, rules on what can be displayed on the sites etc. Some cctld registries are pretty strict on these types of things– like .ro are not suppose to be sold, .ca you need a presence there. Or is it buyer beware kinda thing. I know for the .cm’s in the past getting something set up where you can actually purchase domains is pretty tough, i imagine transfering them to a new owner could be equally as hard.

Totally agree and said as much at the Paris T meet.

  24. Arjan de Wolff on May 29th, 2009 11:01 am

    Hello Rick,

    We have an dutch domain.
It’s a name to order food online.
I received some bid’s butit’s not enough, if you know what you can do whit the name.

How do you tricker the price for it?

    Arjan

  25. Laurens on May 29th, 2009 11:49 am

Please let me know where to submit quality .nl domainnames for the auction. Thanks!

  26. David Clements for Rick Latona Auctions on May 30th, 2009 9:14 am

Jonathan: You are right. The reply you got didn’t specify all of the reasons that your domain names were not accepted. With the volume of submissions, we had to decide on a canned reply in the interest of time. I will be happy to work with you to see if we can find some names, please email me directly if interested.

Aligned: There will be a lot of registries here to answer those questions in seminars. The entire schedule is posted at http://www.targetedtraffic.com/cctlds. There are 2 people from .cm here right now, and they will be on a seminar panel as well.

Laurens: Be happy to look at quality .nl domains that are Dutch word(s). Please use our submissions link at http://www.ricklatona.com/auctions/submission-form.
