Rick Latona Auctions is proud to bring you T.R.A.F.F.I.C. ccTLDs 2009

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Atlanta, Georgia USA – January 26, 2009 – Rick Latona Auctions is proud to bring the famous T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conference to Europe for the first time, T.R.A.F.F.I.C. ccTLDs, 2009 will be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands from June 1 - June 5, 2009.

T.R.A.F.F.I.C. ccTLDs 2009 is dedicated entirely to the discussion of country code TLDs (ccTLDs).  We understand that there are a broad group of ccTLDs in the marketplace; however, in order to meet our objectives, we are primarily interested in discussions and submissions from the following ccTLDs:

This also means that we are also looking for speakers for each of the above mentioned ccTLDs.  If you or someone you know is uniquely qualified to speak on a topic or ccTLD, you may nominate them (or yourself) here.

T.R.A.F.F.I.C. ccTLDs 2009 will be June 1 - June 5, 2009 at the NH Grand Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam.  The Krasnapolsky is located across from the Royal Palace on Dam Square, which is one of the most recognized and important squares in Amsterdam.  After careful consideration, we have decided to limit the attendance to the first 400 registrants.  In order to guarantee that you or your company is represented, we highly recommend that you book this event as soon as possible.  Once our maximum number of admissions have been booked, the show will simply be sold out.

Dear Rick! That’s great that TRAFFIC is coming to Europe. I wish you very successful event!

BUT I am disappointed that you will not support .PL ccTLD in your conference nor auction. Polish domain market has the same size us French market (number of .pl domain names - 1.3 mln) and is bigger than .ES market. I would also suggest to include .RU ccTLD with almost 2 mln domains.

Regarding .PL ccTLD - this is very live country code domain market and quite well established too. It has its own domain dropcatchers, aftermarket websites, of course registrars and even domain conferences. I know quite many people from Poland that are going to visit TRAFFIC in Amsterdam. I think they will be disappointed too that .PL TLD is not covered at the conference.

So maybe it is not to late to include .PL ccTLD in your conference? :)

    Rick,
Any idea why .TV was not included or are we considering that a gTLD now? :)

    Daniel & Ed,

Our conference is about ccTLDs, through and through. In addition to the above mentioned ccTLDs, we have already received and are considering submissions from .pl, .tr, .au, .ru, and .ca. I assure you, we are not ruling anything out at this point. It will be nice to see a domainer following from Poland at the TRAFFIC ccTLDs show in Amsterdam, in fact, we are all interested in finding out which country will have the most domainers attend the conference.

    AR,

We will not be including .tv. :)

    Thank you for your comments.

    Regards,
    David Clements

Daniel Dryzek, you’re a silly guy. I see you all over the English based domainer blogs claiming to care so much about the integrity and marketability of our own .pl ccTLD, yet according to various credible sources you have a proven history of blatant Whois query mining (and at the .pl registry level to boot). That practice alone is hands down the most damaging force in the entire .pl sector. You feelin’ that burning irony yet! :)

.pl is an awesome and growing ccTLD with a very bright future, yet it greatly saddens me that a character such as Dryzek would try to act like the extension’s international spokesman.

I plan to be at T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Rick, and hope to see many of you there!

I see Krzysztof you are back again with your conspiracy theory. Oh my.. You change the name all the time. But I can’t help that - maybe some doctor would.. I won’t replay to any of your next comments. If you have any doubts - please go to court or stop your anti Daniel Dryzek campaign please :) Thank you in advance. (Sorry guys that you have to read it)

Back again? Nice try, but the spin and insults won’t work with me Daniel. There’s a growing number of domainers both in and outside of Poland that know what you’ve been up too. The word is spreading. But that said, I respect Rick and enjoy his blog, and won’t tarnish it any further discussing your long and tangled .pl legacy.

    See you in Amsterdam!

How about .Asia (I know its a sTLD) but I see .EU and .Asia ragged more then $7 million in the auctions. It would be interresting to see what premium names could sell for in the open market. I have quite a few good ones….

I think people working in domains.ph could represent. but the problem would be the visa+expenses. I own a few .ph domains myself but i cant speak about it.
