Want a piece of domaining history? A few more names that will be auctioned off in New York.
September 4, 2008 by Rick Latona
On the 11th of July, 1985 the domain mcc.com was registered. It was only the 4th .com domain ever registered.
Today that name generates around 100 dollars a day in revenue and it will be auctioned off in New York with a reserve of only 5x earnings. The name will fly off the shelf, but for how much? I can’t wait to find out.
Here are a few more names that have been added to the inventory that is hitting the block.
CountryClubs.com
DayTraders.com - Another really old site. It’s number 1 or number 2 on Google for almost anything related.
Audit.com and Audits.com - The singular sold last year in New York. Now someone can buy the pair.
Our list is still coming together but I’m pretty excited about it looks so far.

Setting the bar pretty high for yourself Rick.
Killer list. The MCC auction should be interesting.
Your auction is going to fire up the entire domain space. I predict you are going to sell over 75% of the names you put up for auction, and you are going to net over $5,000,000. Lately, live auctions have produced poor results, causing somewhat of a gloomy state of affairs. Big domains have come up for auctions, but the unreasonably high reserves leave them sitting untouched. You’ve got some great names, and knowing what you’ve done this year, the reserves are going to be better than reasonable. There will be some fierce bidding and the domain industry is going to be psyched - finally.
Real nice names. I hope your auction is a game changer as you are doing all the right things leading up to the auction.
CRAZY. Time to show Moniker how it’s done
Do I hear Latona Expo 2009

With multiple auctions in NYC, we need a place where ALL the names can be seen. Right now they are scattered.
Amazing domains!
Time to sell all your domains…Cash out now…google is going to change how the game is played…check out what they have already done…goto google.com and download the “chrome” (google’s new browser)…more changes coming soon…trust me….my guess is that they will completely remove the address bar…you will not be able to type in your dot com address…you will only be able to perform a search…google will still make billions…will you???
any comments???
As predicted by Elliot, I would like to see it after the auction.
Good luck,
Emil
