Why I like Fabulous.com

August 28, 2008 by Rick Latona

Like most large domainers I have accounts at all of the major registrars. Fabulous.com is without a doubt my favorite. There are a number of reasons for this.

My favorite thing about them is their permission based login system. I love the fact that I can have employees login to my account and register names but not transfer them out, alter the DNS or see the financial information.

There tools are by far the easiest to use.

Their site is fast.

We never have to contact their support twice. Issues get handled on the first attempt.

They are not in the United States which helps from a liability standpoint of owning so many names.

They have an excellent security. You can choose to executive lock a name which means it can’t be transferred out unless you contact Fabulous and personally ask them to.

And then there is my favorite part. They are all-around good people. Dan and Richard are both class acts.

Kudos to Fabulous.com. You deserve a shout out.

I agree that FAB is full of top-notch folks, but I still don’t want to go to Australia to fight a battle with them if there is a problem with one of my domains. I realize that is a very remote possibility, but…….

Can you clarify what you mean by ” it helps from a liablity standpoint of owning so many domains”? How does that help?

    Thanks,

    Johnny

Why not run your own registrar?

    Hi Rick,

Not many people know but Rebel.com has had the multiuser functionality since we launched two years ago. Works exactly as you described, you can give access to secondary users and control what they can and cannot do.

    Thanks,
    Jason

It’s funny reading this post b/c I recently transferred all my domains from Moniker to Fabulous. No one can touch the customer support over at Fabulous.

I’ve personally been with Fabulous.com for 4+ years and I have to agree 100% with the above. Fabulous.com is and has been the best registrar experience that I’ve seen in the industry. It’s clean, (no brunettes and boobs - GoDaddy) it’s secure and it’s just fabulous. Also, support issues are handled quickly and effectively. Another Kudos to the Fabulous.com team!

I agree Fabulous is top-notch. If not for the time and hassle in trying to get 1000s of transfer auth codes I would likely transfer to Fab.
