I just bought my dream car

March 1, 2008 by Rick Latona

What do you guys think of my brand spanking new 50 year old 1958 Corvette hard and soft top convertible? Click the links below to see the pictures.

Quote from Wikipedia “The 1958 Corvette saw another body freshening and more options available. This year had the most exterior chrome and was the heaviest of the C-1s. From it’s quad headlights and hood louvers to it’s twin trunk spars and bumper exiting exhaust, it was the flashiest Corvette ever built.”

Actually I cancelled the Tesla order. I don’t have enough space in my garage. I decided I’d rather have this ‘vette.

Nothing can replace my ‘65 Lincoln. I might have to add the Corvette to the header though.

    Hi Rick,

Sweet ride mate, they don’t make them like that anymore.

I must say that Corvettes are one of my favorite cars.

I remember when I was 12 (28 years ago) when my brother in law turned up with his new purchase of a candy apple red 67 Corvette Stingray with a 427 engine.

I have just started a blog which is still under construction called http://www.corvettesrule.com and would love to put the pictures of your beauty on there when I am done.

    Enjoy the ride Rick.

    Regards

    Ed,
My wife just informed me that she plans on driving the 58 ‘vette because she’ll look better in it than I will. Looks like I need to buy another classic car.

    Rick,

I love it. I used to have a 56 Ford T-Bird, but life changes forced me to sell it. I’m glad you were able to “go for it.”

WOW is all I can say brother. Do you still have the Lincoln?

  13. Rick Latona on March 25th, 2008 3:52 pm

Yeah, I’ll always have my Lincoln.
