Rick, are you willing to sell our premium domains for us that we own and take a percentage cut?

That's an excellent question Anunt and it deserves it's own post. The short answer is yes. There are however, a few rules.

  1. I'm not going to sell more than 1 or 2 names a day that don't belong to me.
  2. I take 10%
  3. All my sales are non-negotiable BIN sales. In other words, I post buy-it-now prices and the first person to respond gets them.
  4. I'll have to agree that the asking price is low enough for my audience. I have a reputation to protect and I'm not going to mail out something that I don't think will sell.
  5. I'll need only a 7 day exclusive
  6. You'll need to have domain privacy added before I'll send the mail.

If you are fine with those terms, then I'd love to see what you have for sale.

    Rick, how to do determine the price tag on good domain names? Do you come with an agreement with the seller before it goes on market or you fix the price?

    Lukas, domain privacy means that when someone does a whois on one of your names, they won't see your contact information.

    Oh-Oh, Rick...if you haven't been yet; since you've announced that you'll sell others; you're about to be buried in domains. ;-)

    Perhaps a few filters (.com only, 2-3 word max, dictionary words only) might ease your "burden."

    i'd like2suggest you to re-consider auction for selling

    should you have 'the auctions ,
    then ,
    we would submit our property
    with a more realistic price in order to sollicit bidding

    Those are all good points but everyone auctions domains. I need to be different and easy. It's real simple. Good domains at crazy low prices.

    A quick transaction is the most important thing. Auctions are the worst....you don't even know if the bidder will pay when you deal with Sedo. Then they often request a transfer to another registrar.

    The reason people supposedly overpay at Snap Names is because their system puts the name in the new owner's pocket quickly.

    I repeat. Auctions are the worst....I didn't even mention the disgrace that is shill bidding.....it goes unpunished.

    Crazy low prices and quick transactions will quickly be the only way to go. That's why message boards are good.....you can fire sale and get money that day.

    E, I agree with you. There's also the fact that you have to submit names to an exclusive agreement, wait a month before you find out if it was submitted and two months after it doesn't sell before you can do anything else. It ties up too much capital.
